Kolo Muani anticipates difficult game as France faces Spain in semi-final.

In a thrilling semi-final at the Allianz Arena, Spain aims to continue their flawless run and march toward an unprecedented fourth European Championship title as they face off against France, a formidable opponent eager for a third continental glory.

Spain

Spain, on a remarkable winning streak of five consecutive matches, advanced further toward their ambition of clinching a fourth European Championship title with a 2-1 victory over host nation Germany. Lamine Yamal, now hailed as the King of Assists in the tournament, set up the opening goal with a superb pass for Dani Olmo to score in the 51st minute.

The match was decided by an exceptional headed goal by Mikel Merino in the 119th minute, securing the win for Spain in extra time. This victory also marked Germany as the first host nation to exit the European Championship at the quarterfinals stage.

In the upcoming semi-final on Tuesday, La Roja will face France, aiming to continue their unbeaten run at Euro 2024. Spain is unique in having won all five of their matches in the tournament so far.

Under Luis de la Fuente, who has managed an impressive 79% winning rate since the start of 2023, Spain hopes to make history by becoming the first nation to triumph in six straight European Championship matches. The attacking trio of Álvaro Morata, Lamine Yamal, and Nico Williams will spearhead Spain's assault in their 4–3–3 formation against France.

France

Unlike Spain, France were unable to find a goal in extra time and had to settle for a 5-3 win over Portugal after a round of penalties following a goalless draw. The win brought an end to Ronaldo’s search for a second European championship title.

On Tuesday, two-time winners France will be looking to take another bold step towards a fourth European final when they meet Spain. 'The matches are going to be harder and harder. Spain are one of the best teams in the tournament, playing very good football,’ Randal Kolo Muani said. 'We like big matches. We will be ready by Tuesday,' he added.

With the best of Mbappe yet to come, onlookers would be left surprised if an outstanding performance is missing, yet again, from the Frenchman when he teams up with Kolo Muani in attack on Didier Deschamps’ 4–3–1–2. Marcus Thuram, who has since been usurped by Muani, is expected to make another late appearance off the bench.
