Ligue 1 this season

PSG on the verge of 12th Ligue 1 title.
After a crushing defeat to OGC Nice, Lorient aim to thwart PSG's title ambitions and halt their winless streak in a high-stakes clash at Stade du Moustoir.
Lorient
Lorient, currently on a five-game winless run, suffered a 3-0 defeat to OGC Nice last weekend, marking their third consecutive loss. This defeat leaves them three points short of safety in 17th place with 26 points from 6 wins, 8 draws, and 15 losses.
Compared to their 10th place finish last season, this campaign has been challenging. Les Merlus have the worst defensive record in the competition, conceding 55 goals so far this season.
Their last victory was a 2-1 win over Rennes in early March. Interestingly, Lorient have gone unbeaten in their last two meetings with PSG in Ligue 1, with 1 win and 1 draw.
However, they have struggled in recent home games, losing three without scoring. They could face a fourth consecutive home defeat, something that hasn't happened since between September and November 2014.
Lorient is expected to line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation with Mohamed Bamba in attack for their midweek meeting against PSG. Régis Le Bris will be missing as many as five players, including Bamba Dieng and Igor Silva.
Paris Saint Germain
PSG are on the verge of their 12th Ligue 1 title, having swept Lyon aside in a 4-1 win on Sunday. Two early goals inside the first ten minutes gave PSG a reassuring start, well before a brace from Gonçalo Ramos [32’, 42’] put the game to bed inside the first half.
That win helped Les Parisiens maintain their 11-point gap at the top of the table. With five games left to play before the midweek round of fixtures [15 points attainable], a win on Wednesday will see PSG crowned French champions if Monaco fail to defeat Lille. Should that happen, it would leave the current champions with a third successive Ligue 1 title.
Manager Luis Enrique is expected to revert to a 4-3-3 formation after having deployed a 4-2-3-1 for the weekend's game against Lyon. Gonçalo Ramos will likely keep his place in attack, while Kylian Mbappé, who was left on the bench for the entire length of the weekend game, is expected to return to the starting lineup alongside Ousmane Dembélé, having both been given a rest.
