Manchester United to begin Premier League campaign against Fulham.
Manchester United, aiming to bounce back from last season's eighth-place finish, host Fulham at Old Trafford this Friday at 20:00 [GMT+1], in a thrilling Premier League opener brimming with high expectations and fresh signings.
Manchester United
Although last weekend’s Community Shield defeat to Manchester City left a bitter taste in Erik ten Hag’s mouth, the Red Devils will be looking for a more impressive start to the season when they face Fulham this Friday. A wasteful Marcus Rashford failed to convert several clear-cut chances before the game ended in a 1-1 draw with the Sky Blues.
Onana made good on his promise to take more risks with bold displays between the sticks during a round of penalties; however, all came to no avail. João Palhinha has left for Bayern Munich for a hefty €51 million fee, following an outstanding performance at the recent European Championship. Centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo has moved to Chelsea, and Willian is now a free agent.
On the positive side, Emile Smith Rowe has joined the club from Arsenal for €32 million. Marco Silva will be counting on the new addition as he looks to earn at least a point at Old Trafford.
