"Ready for a tough game,'' Pep says as City nears fourth-successive title.

Manchester City host West Ham at the Etihad on Sunday in a title-deciding clash, with City needing a win to secure their fourth consecutive Premier League title against a Hammers side eager to give outgoing boss David Moyes a memorable send-off.

Manchester City

Manchester City [WWWWW], who have 88 points [27W, 7D, & 3L], have one hand on the Premier League title following the 2-0 win over Tottenham on Tuesday. A brace from none other than Erling Haaland [51', 90'+1 P.] not only crushed Tottenham’s hopes of a 4th-place finish but also helped the Sky Blues leapfrog Arsenal at the top of the table.

With a two-point lead over the Gunners, City need to defeat West Ham on Sunday for a record fourth consecutive Premier League title. "We would like to be 3-0 up after 10 minutes, but that's not going to happen," Pep said, anticipating a difficult fixture.

"I'm ready for it to be a tough, tough game. I want to put it in the minds of the players. Look at Tottenham and how they fought for every ball. [West Ham] will be ready to beat us. I don't have any doubt about that," he added.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last 16 Premier League games against West Ham [13W, 3D, 0L] since a 2-1 home loss in September 2015. A win will leave City with an aura of invincibility ahead of their FA Cup final against Manchester United on May 25.

A 4—2—3—1 formation with Erling Haaland in attack is expected. Kevin De Bruyne is in doubt, while Ederson is ruled out of City’s final two games following an eye-socket fracture.

West Ham United

Meanwhile, West Ham will be looking to give outgoing boss David Moyes a befitting send-off when they line up against title-chasing Manchester City.

Villa [LLDLW] have 52 points [14W, 10D, & 13L] ahead of Sunday’s game. With a 9th-place finish now confirmed, the Hammers head into what could be described as a dead-rubber game, despite Arsenal looking on for favors.

"We're playing for West Ham, and we're trying to win the game for West Ham. We can't finish lower than ninth, which is a really good league position for West Ham in lots of ways,'' David Moyes said.

A final-day win would be ideal for the visitors; however, the Hammers have lost 15 of their 17 Premier League away games against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

"Let's be fair; it's difficult to win against Manchester City at any time,'' Moyes, who is expected to deploy the familiar 3—4—2—1 with Michail Antonio in attack, said ahead of the season’s finale.
