Brentford eager to extend seven-game unbeaten run against Bournemouth.

Brentford are eager to bounce back from a heart-wrenching defeat as they host an invigorated Bournemouth side, fresh off a stunning win over Manchester City, in a captivating Premier League clash at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Brentford

Brentford were stunned in a remarkable turnaround during Monday night’s West London derby, where they lost 2-1 to Fulham after conceding twice in stoppage time. Despite commending every Fulham player after the final whistle, Thomas Frank watched in horror as his side gave up the lead in the 92nd minute and went behind five minutes later.

Substitute Harry Wilson took the spotlight after his remarkable brace sank the Bees. His first goal was an early contender for goal of the season before a stunning header appeared out of nowhere, leaving Brentford with their fifth defeat of the season.

Brentford, who dropped into 12th place, were left with 13 points (4W, 1D, 5L) following the defeat. They will be keen to forget the loss when they host Bournemouth on Saturday evening.

While their defensive troubles were evident in the defeat to the Cottagers, Brentford are unbeaten in their last seven league games against Bournemouth (5W, 2D, 0L). The last time they lost to the visitors was in a 1-0 away defeat in the Championship in August 2014.

However, having the third-worst defensive record in the Premier League could serve as a stumbling block to their ability to secure a win. A 4—2—3—1 formation with Yoane Wissa in attack is expected for this fixture, although as many as five players are ruled out, including Gustavo Nunes.

AFC Bournemouth

Bournemouth scrapped another prized scalp in last weekend’s 2-1 win over Manchester City, inflicting upon the Sky Blues their first defeat of the Premier League season. Previously, they achieved a similar feat against ten-man Arsenal with a 2-0 victory.

With the famous win, the Cherries are now in 10th place, having climbed two spots, and have accumulated 15 points with a record of 4 wins, 3 draws, and 3 losses. They stand two points ahead of Saturday's opponents.

Bournemouth have only picked up three victories in their last 22 Premier League away games against London sides, with a record of 3 wins, 3 draws, and 16 losses. They haven't won an away league game against Brentford since October 2005, when they secured a 2-0 victory in League One.

Nevertheless, the Cherries will be hoping to secure back-to-back victories this weekend as they look to extend their unbeaten run to four Premier League games in a row. Andoni Iraola is expected to maintain the attacking lineup that faced the Sky Blues, with Evanilson supported by the attacking trio of Antoine Semenyo, Marcus Tavernier, and Justin Kluivert.

Kepa Arrizabalaga might make a return for this match, though three other players remain ruled out.
