Milan and Torino Lock Horns in Thrilling Stalemate

In a Serie A drama, Milan and Torino battled it out in a thrilling 2-2 draw, with neither side willing to back down.

In the 30th minute, Torino took the lead with an own goal. Fortune seemed to favor them when, in the 68th minute, Duván Zapata increased the lead for Torino, assisted by Valentino Lazaro.

Hope was rekindled for Milan in the final minutes. Álvaro Morata netted a goal for Milan with an assist by Tijjani Reijnders, marking his first goal on his debut for the club. Earlier, Morata had been brought down in an attempt to win a penalty.

But the drama wasn't over. Milan found their equalizer in the 90th minute, as Noah Okafor scored with an assist by Yunus Musah. The tension was palpable until the final whistle.

New Milan manager Fonseca reflected after his Serie A managerial debut, saying, "I didn’t expect us to be perfect now, but I have to say that in the first 45 minutes we were passive, without intensity. Then we were more aggressive up front, having enough opportunities to win the match. We have to keep working; there is a lot to improve."

Looking ahead, Milan will face Parma on 24 August, Lazio on 31 August, and host Venezia on 15 September. Torino's next opponents are Atalanta on 25 August, Venezia on 30 August, and Lecce at home on 15 September.
