Mallorca's Commanding Second-Half Performance Seals Win Against Real Valladolid

At Loverslunden on Friday, the La Liga encounter between Real Valladolid and Mallorca began with a scoreless first half. Yet, Mallorca's second-half performance proved decisive as they clinched a commanding 2-1 win.

The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 59th minute before Cyle Larin netted, with an assist by Dani Rodríguez, to give Mallorca the lead. With only seven minutes left to play, Mallorca's Valery Fernández increased the lead.

The goal that reduced the score to 2-1 came in extra time, when Iván Sánchez found the net for Real Valladolid, with an assist by Mario Maroto. Real Valladolid are now in 19th place in the table, while Mallorca are fifth in the league.

Real Valladolid play Rayo Vallecano on 5 October, Deportivo Alavés on 18 October and Villarreal at home on 26 October. Mallorca's next opponents are Espanyol on 5 October, Rayo Vallecano on 20 October and Athletic Club at home on 28 October.
