Magalhães the hero for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur's upcoming Premier League fixtures include a home match against Brentford on 21 September, an away game at Manchester United on 29 September, and another away fixture against Brighton & Hove Albion on 6 October. Meanwhile, Arsenal will face Manchester City away on 22 September, host Leicester City on 28 September, and play Southampton at home on 5 October.

The first half ended with a 0-0 scoreline, but the breakthrough came in the 64th minute when Gabriel Magalhães, with an assist from Bukayo Saka, netted to make it 1–0 for Arsenal. This lone goal proved to be the decider of the match.

Unfortunately, Bukayo Saka was taken off injured later in the game. The match also featured a tense moment when Jurrien Timber narrowly escaped a red card after a clash with Tottenham's goalkeeper.

"The resilience that we showed - we knew it would be a tough match, and that made it easier," remarked Mikel Arteta, who celebrated his first win after signing a contract extension, and gave Raheem Sterling his Arsenal debut. "They create an unbelievable atmosphere. We should have done more in the first half, but we knew we were a bit of a threat on set plays and knew we could hurt them," he added after the North London Derby triumph.

Arsenal's 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur came courtesy of Gabriel Magalhães' second-half strike, securing three crucial points in the Premier League. This win places Arsenal in second position, just two points behind Manchester City, while Tottenham Hotspur currently occupy 13th place.
