Victory Against Parma Propels Udinese to League Summit
Udinese secured a thrilling 3-2 victory away at Stadio Ennio Tardini against Parma, propelling them to the top of the Serie A standings after four games played. They currently hold a slender one-point lead over Napoli, while Parma sits in 12th place in the league.
Parma were quickest out of the blocks, grabbing an early lead when Enrico Del Prato netted in the second minute from a precise pass by Valentin Mihăilă. Just before the half-time whistle, Ange-Yoan Bonny doubled their advantage with an assist from Dennis Man, giving Parma a comfortable 2-0 lead.
Straight after the break, Lorenzo Lucca gave Udinese a lifeline by reducing the deficit. Florian Thauvin then leveled the score for Udinese in the 68th minute, with a crucial assist from Keinan Davis.
The game took a dramatic turn when Parma's Mandela Keita was sent off in the 73rd minute. Just four minutes later, Florian Thauvin struck again to complete Udinese's remarkable comeback.
