VfB Stuttgart Seals Victory Over Borussia Mönchengladbach Thanks to Demirović's Double
VfB Stuttgart triumphed with a 3-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach in Saturday's Bundesliga clash on away turf at Stadion im Borussia-Park.
VfB Stuttgart took an early lead when Deniz Undav netted after 21 minutes, with an assist by Jamie Leweling, making it 1-0.
Borussia Mönchengladbach equalised to make it 1-1 in the 27th minute, when Alassane Pléa found the net with an assist from Kevin Stöger.
With nearly 30 minutes remaining, VfB Stuttgart's Fabian Rieder set up Ermedin Demirović to double the lead, and at 58 minutes, Rieder's assist once again helped Demirović find the net to give VfB Stuttgart a commanding lead.
The result means Borussia Mönchengladbach are now in 11th place in the table and VfB Stuttgart are ninth in the league.
Looking ahead, Borussia Mönchengladbach will face Eintracht Frankfurt on 21 September, FC Union Berlin on 28 September, and FC Augsburg (away) on 4 October. VfB Stuttgart's next opponents are Borussia Dortmund on 22 September, VfL Wolfsburg on 28 September, and TSG Hoffenheim (home) on 6 October.
