Tottenham Hotspur ends four-loss run

The Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ended 2-1 on Saturday, providing much-needed relief for Tottenham Hotspur after suffering four successive defeats.

Tottenham took an early lead when Jacob Bruun Larsen netted in the 25th minute, assisted by Sander Berge, making it 1-0. This was exactly the start the home fans had been hoping for.

Tottenham Hotspur have now chalked up one win and four losses in their last five games, having scored six and conceded fourteen. Meanwhile, Burnley's recent form includes one win and two draws, with eight goals scored and nine conceded.

Burnley managed to equalize when Pedro Porro found the net in the 32nd minute, thanks to an assist from Brennan Johnson. The scoreline was level at 1-1 and the game was wide open.

With just eight minutes left to play, Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven scored the deciding goal, assisted by James Maddison, completing the comeback and sealing a 2-1 victory for the home side.

Tottenham Hotspur have scored a total of 71 goals in the Premier League: 38 at home and 33 away. Burnley, on the other hand, have netted 40 goals: 18 at home and 22 away.

Tottenham Hotspur's next Premier League fixtures are against Manchester City at home on 14 May and Sheffield United away on 19 May. Burnley will face Nottingham Forest at home on 19 May.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Manchester City triumphed 4-0 against Fulham, Brentford edged a narrow 2-1 victory over AFC Bournemouth, Everton secured a 1-0 win against Sheffield United, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion drew 1-1, West Ham United defeated Luton Town 3-1, Crystal Palace won 3-1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Chelsea clinched a 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest.
