Tottenham Hotspur equalised to make it 1-1, as D. Kulusevski found the net, with an assist by James Maddison, in the 36th minute. Straight after the break, Yves Bissouma scored, giving the team the lead.
The tension heightened when a 3-1 scoreline emerged, courtesy of an own-goal in the 55th minute. Tottenham Hotspur increased their advantage, making it 4-1 just five minutes later when Heung-min Son scored with an assist by Pape Matar Sarr.
In an added twist, West Ham United's Mohammed Kudus was sent off in the 86th minute. The result means Tottenham Hotspur are now in sixth place in the table, while West Ham United sit in 14th place.
