In a thrilling match against Georgia, Spain turned the tides with a dominant performance that saw them secure a 4-1 victory, advancing to the Euro 2024 quarterfinals. The initial setback came when Georgia took the lead in the 18th minute through an own-goal. However, Spain responded with fire and determination.
The equalizer came in the 39th minute with Rodri finding the net, assisted by the indefatigable Nico Williams. As the second half kicked off, Fabián Ruiz quickly put Spain ahead, capitalizing on a moment of brilliance.
With only seven minutes remaining, Dani Olmo extended Spain's lead with a superb assist from Mikel Oyarzabal, sealing the fate of their valiant opponents. Adding further comfort to Spain's lead, Nico Williams scored Spain’s fourth goal in the 75th minute, beautifully set up by Fabián Ruiz.
