Santiago Castro and Kacper Urbański play pivotal roles in away win against Monza

On Sunday, Bologna outlasted Monza in a close encounter, winning 2-1 away in Serie A.

Bologna started the match well and took the lead when Kacper Urbański netted in the 24th minute, with an assist by Charalampos Lykogiannīs, making it 1-0.

Monza equalised 1-1 just before the half-time whistle as Milan Đurić found the net.

Santiago Castro scored the decider with an assist by Remo Freuler, in the 80th minute.

The result means the fifth game in a row without a win for Monza. For the home team, the results mean 18th place in the table.

Bologna are 12th in the league. Monza play Napoli on 29 September, Roma on 6 October and Hellas Verona (away) on 21 October. Bologna's next opponents are Atalanta on 28 September, Parma on 6 October and Genoa (away) on 19 October.
