Real Madrid's impressive run of nine straight wins in La Liga ended dramatically away to Villarreal, with Sunday's game at Estadio de la Cerámica concluding in a thrilling 4-4 draw.
Arda Güler scored once again just five minutes later, with another assist from Lucas Vázquez, extending Villarreal's lead to 4-1.
Following the break, Alexander Sørloth quickly made his impact once more, reducing the score for Villarreal.
Villarreal have netted a total of 64 goals in La Liga: 36 at home and 28 away.
In the 52nd minute, Sørloth completed his hat-trick, pulling one back for Villarreal.
Just four minutes later, Sørloth scored yet again, this time with an assist by Gerard Moreno, bringing the score to an exhilarating 4-4.
Villarreal's recent form holds three wins, one draw, and one loss from their last five games, scoring 13 and conceding 10 goals. Meanwhile, Real Madrid boasts four wins and one draw, with 17 goals scored and only 4 conceded.
