Real Betis' Resilient Second-Half Effort Secures Triumph Over Getafe

Giovani Lo Celso increased the lead in the 74th minute with an assist by Marc Roca. The first half finished 0-0 and it took until the 61st minute before Giovani Lo Celso scored a penalty to give Real Betis the lead.
The result means the fifth game in a row without a win for Getafe. The goal that reduced the score to 2-1 came in extra time, when Mauro Arambarri netted for Getafe, with an assist by Diego Rico.
Real Betis play Mallorca on 23 September, Las Palmas on 26 September, and Espanyol (home) on 29 September. Getafe's next opponents are Leganés on 22 September, FC Barcelona on 25 September, and Deportivo Alavés (home) on 28 September.
The result means Real Betis are now in 11th place in the table and that Getafe are in 19th place.
