PSV strengthen title grip with another win
League leaders PSV continue to impress with their stellar performances.
With a 2-0 win away against Willem II, PSV recorded yet another victory, extending their lead in the Eredivisie. The gap to second-placed AZ is now five points, although AZ have three games in hand.
Willem II are currently in ninth place in the league, striving to climb higher.
The first half remained goalless, but straight after half-time, Ricardo Pepi made his mark, netting with an assist by Joey Veerman to give PSV the lead.
With 64 minutes on the clock, Ricardo Pepi found the net again, following a Rick Karsdorp assist, to double their advantage.
This impressive win marks seven straight victories for PSV, keeping their undefeated streak this season intact.
Looking towards upcoming fixtures, Willem II will face Almere City on 4 October, Fortuna Sittard on 20 October, and Ajax (away) on 27 October. Meanwhile, PSV's next opponents are Sparta Rotterdam on 5 October, AZ on 19 October, and PEC Zwolle (home) on 26 October.
