In their opening fixture of Euro 2024 at Red Bull Arena, Portugal secured a thrilling victory over Czech Republic with a 2-1 scoreline. After a goalless first half, the match kept fans on the edge of their seats.
The tension broke in the 62nd minute when Lukas Provod, assisted by Vladimír Coufal, slotted in to give Czech Republic the lead. However, just seven minutes later, the score became 1-1 thanks to an own goal, bringing Portugal back into the game.
The drama peaked in stoppage time as Francisco Conceição struck the decisive goal, completing Portugal's comeback. Next up, Portugal will face Turkey on 22 June and Georgia on 26 June, while Czech Republic will meet Georgia first on 22 June and then Turkey on 26 June.
