Osasuna beat Celta de Vigo in an even affair at Estadio El Sadar

One goal decided an even game as Osasuna won 3-2 at home against Celta de Vigo in La Liga on Sunday.

Osasuna struck first when Flavien Boyomo netted in the 21st minute, courtesy of an assist by Ante Budimir, bringing the score to 1-0.

Celta de Vigo responded by equalizing almost half an hour in, with Borja Iglesias finding the net thanks to Óscar Mingueza's assist, making it 1-1.

Just before halftime, an own-goal in the 45th minute gave Osasuna a 2-1 lead.

At the 62-minute mark, Osasuna doubled their advantage as Abel Bretones scored following a precise assist from Bryan Zaragoza.

Celta de Vigo's hopes of a comeback waned as Alfon González was sent off in the 86th minute.

The drama continued right up to the end, with another own-goal in the 90th minute setting the final score at 3-2 in favor of Osasuna.

This result propels Osasuna to seventh place in the league table, while Celta de Vigo find themselves in eighth.

Looking ahead, Osasuna will face Rayo Vallecano (away) on 16 September, then play at home on 22 September against an unspecified team, followed by an away match against Valencia on 25 September. Meanwhile, Celta de Vigo will host Real Valladolid on 15 September, visit Athletic Club on 22 September, and take on Atlético Madrid at home on 25 September.
