Liverpool are Top of the League Following Victory Over Wolverhampton Wanderers

After securing a 2-1 victory away at Molineux Stadium against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool now find themselves at the top of the Premier League table. With six games played, they lead Manchester City by one point.

Wolverhampton Wanderers occupy the 20th spot in the league standings. Liverpool took the lead in added time in the first half when Ibrahima Konaté netted, with an assist by Diogo Jota.

With 56 minutes on the clock, Wolverhampton Wanderers' Rayan Aït Nouri found the net following a Carlos Borges assist to equalize. However, in the 61st minute, Mohamed Salah restored Liverpool's lead, sealing the victory.

This marked Wolverhampton Wanderers' sixth game in a row without a win. "The lads gave everything, and we had a right go. We lost control and went off the game plan when we scored; caught in the emotion of equalising and we got badly punished," Wolves boss Gary O'Neil told Sky Sports.

Wolverhampton Wanderers play Brentford on 5 October, Manchester City on 20 October, and Brighton & Hove Albion (away) on 26 October. Liverpool's next opponents are Crystal Palace on 5 October, Chelsea on 20 October, and Arsenal (away) on 27 October.
