Jens Stage scores three in Werder Bremen's win over TSG Hoffenheim

Werder Bremen's Julián Malatini made it 3-1 in the 21st minute, scoring with an assist by Niklas Stark. The match saw an action-packed performance as Jens Stage struck a hat-trick, guiding Werder Bremen to a thrilling 4-3 victory over TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Malatini also found the back of the net for the winners, while TSG Hoffenheim's goals came from Bülter and Hložek. Bremen pulled one back again in the 26th minute, when Jens Stage scored, assisted by Marvin Ducksch.

TSG Hoffenheim opened the scoring with a goal from Marius Bülter in the fifth minute, courtesy of a pass from Mergim Berisha. Bülter doubled the lead for Hoffenheim in the 8th minute, this time assisted by Umut Tohumcu, and Adam Hložek made it 3-0 just four minutes later.

Werder Bremen quickly responded as Julián Malatini scored to make it 3-1. Hoffenheim faced a setback when Stanley N'Soki was sent off in the 18th minute, but Bremen took advantage of the situation, with Jens Stage scoring in the 26th minute to make it 3-2.

Stage brought more excitement by completing his hat-trick, equalizing at 3-3 in the 39th minute. Straight after the break, Stage scored again, giving Werder Bremen a 4-3 lead and sealing the incredible comeback.

TSG Hoffenheim now face VfB Stuttgart on 6 October, VfL Bochum 1848 on 19 October, and Heidenheim (away) on 27 October, and they are looking to break a run of four straight defeats. Werder Bremen's upcoming opponents are SC Freiburg on 5 October, VfL Wolfsburg on 20 October, and Bayer 04 Leverkusen (home) on 26 October.
