Inter won after Marcus Thuram's hat-trick

Torino faced an uphill battle early on as Guillermo Maripán was handed a red card in just the 20th minute. Despite this setback, the match was a thrilling encounter, with Marcus Thuram shining brightly for Inter in their 3-2 victory at home.

Thuram opened the scoring after 25 minutes, expertly converting a pass from Alessandro Bastoni to give Inter the lead. He continued his scoring spree in the 35th minute, doubling Inter's advantage with another goal, this time assisted by Francesco Acerbi.

Torino showed resilience as Duván Zapata swiftly responded just a minute later, finding the back of the net thanks to an assist from Gvidas Gineitis, making it 2-1. However, Thuram was in unstoppable form, completing his hat-trick in the 60th minute to restore Inter's two-goal cushion.

Torino refused to back down, and Nikola Vlašić managed to reduce the deficit with a goal that brought the scoreline to 3-2. Despite their efforts, Inter's win catapults them to second place in the Serie A standings, trailing only two points behind Napoli, while Torino remain in sixth place.

Looking ahead, Inter will face Roma away on 20 October, followed by a home clash with Monza on 27 October, and an away game against Empoli on 30 October. Torino’s upcoming fixtures include an away match against Cagliari on 20 October, a home game against Como on 25 October, and a challenging away trip to Roma on 31 October.
