FC Groningen and Feyenoord Settle for Honors in Pulsating Clash

FC Groningen and Feyenoord collided in an Eredivisie fixture that lived up to the hype, producing a thrilling 2-2 draw.

In the 33rd minute, Feyenoord made it 0-1 through an unfortunate own-goal. The excitement continued into the second half when Igor Paixão increased the lead for Feyenoord in the 70th minute, assisted by Jordan Lotomba.

With just nine minutes left to play, FC Groningen's Brynjólfur Darri Willumsson reduced the deficit, capitalising on an assist from Joey Pelupessy. The equaliser came in extra time, when Willumsson netted once more, this time with an assist by Finn Stam.

After the match, Feyenoord found themselves in fifth place while FC Groningen climbed up to fourth.
