FC Barcelona strengthen title grip with another win

FC Barcelona have now won five games in a row.

FC Barcelona broke the deadlock in the 30th minute with a goal from Lamine Yamal. In the 37th minute, Lamine Yamal increased the lead for FC Barcelona with an assist by Robert Lewandowski.

Straight after the break, Dani Olmo found the net and increased the team's lead. With 64 minutes on the clock, FC Barcelona's Pedri found the net following a Marc Casadó assist to increase their lead even further.

Cristhian Stuani reduced the score for Girona with an assist by Portu in the 80th minute. FC Barcelona's Ferran Torres was sent off in the 86th minute.

League leaders FC Barcelona continue to impress. With a 4-1 win away against Girona, FC Barcelona recorded yet another victory, extending their lead in La Liga. The gap to second-placed Atlético Madrid is now four points.

Girona are in eighth place in the league. Their next La Liga games are against Valencia (away) on 21 September, Getafe (home) on 25 September, and Celta de Vigo (away) on 29 September.
