In Sunday's Eredivisie showdown, Feyenoord emerged triumphant with a 5-1 victory over PEC Zwolle at MAC³PARK Stadion.

Feyenoord were quickest out of the blocks, going 1-0 up when Igor Paixão netted in the fourth minute, with an assist from Hugo Bueno.

Straight after the break, Calvin Stengs scored and increased the team's lead.

In the 51st minute, Dávid Hancko further extended Feyenoord's advantage, once again assisted by the industrious Calvin Stengs.

Santiago Gimenez continued the goal spree in the 68th minute, with an assist from Gjivai Zechiël.

Gimenez added another in the 71st minute, this time benefiting from Calvin Stengs' precise pass.

PEC Zwolle managed to pull one back when Filip Krastev found the net, but it was just a consolation in an otherwise dominant performance by Feyenoord.

Looking ahead, PEC Zwolle face NEC (away) on 24 August, PEC Zwolle (home) on 1 September, and FC Twente (away) on 14 September. Meanwhile, Feyenoord will be up against Sparta Rotterdam (away) on 25 August, Ajax (home) on 1 September, and FC Groningen (away) on 14 September.
