AZ goal extravaganza at home to SC Heerenveen
AZ put on a great show at home to SC Heerenveen in the Eredivisie, finishing the match with an astonishing 9-1 scoreline.
AZ silenced SC Heerenveen early with Sven Mijnans netting in the fourth minute on a pass from David Möller Wolfe. SC Heerenveen equalised to make it 1-1 when Luuk Brouwers found the net in the 19th minute, with an assist by Mats Köhlert.
The game took a turn as Troy Parrott scored in the 23rd minute, assisted by Ibrahim Sadiq. Straight after the break, Parrott made his mark again, increasing the lead to 3-1 in the 50th minute with an assist by Jordy Clasie.
Just six minutes later, Parrott completed his hat-trick with an assist by Wouter Goes, making it 5-1. Ibrahim Sadiq further extended the lead in the 72nd minute, thanks to an assist by Sven Mijnans.
Mexx Meerdink added to the tally in the 75th minute with an assist by Ruben van Bommel. Seven minutes later, Kristijan Belić scored with an assist from Zico Buurmeester, taking the score to 8-1.
The final touch was delivered by Zico Buurmeester on an assist from Denso Kasius, bringing the scoreline to an impressive 9-1. SC Heerenveen are now in 13th place, while AZ are in second place, just two points behind PSV.
